“I am truly delighted to share with you a significant part of my life over the last 25 years. This exhibition celebrates that which sets de GRISOGONO apart. From the outset, my creative vision has been entirely different from what people were used to seeing and at one point I was profoundly convinced that it was time for me to show the world this unconventional and contemporary approach while always showing my respect for traditional High Jewellery craftsmanship. It was about making a complete break with existing conventions. One of these first steps involved raising the black diamond from unknown stone to fame, a move that contributed to forging de GRISOGONO’s reputation. Ever since, I have continuously nurtured a brand-new way of envisioning jewellery and watchmaking, while simultaneously establishing some of the most iconic fine jewellery designs.”

In 2000, when entering the watchmaking scene, he endowed his first collection INSTRUMENTO with a tonneau-shaped case revisited according to his singular approach. Fifteen years later, he developed the NEW RETRO, a simple design imbued with the chic spirit of the 1950s. Transposing the timeless aesthetic refinement of the past into contemporary language, de GRISOGONO infuses time with a taste for naturally beautiful things that never scrimp on style.
